The Art of Cross Stepping

Noseride cross-stepping
If you want to nose ride, you need to learn how to " cross step ". As Wingnut says " cross, never shuffle ( your feet )"

that is when your back foot crosses over your front foot

notice her knees are slightly bent but she is not crouching down

she picks up her back foot .....

crosses over her front foot. Her toes on her right foot are still at 3 o'clock since they were the back foot. See her front leg's shin can rest on her back legs calf.

now the front foot crosses back over the rear foot. notice she curls her toes over the nose. Perfect noseriding form. Eyes up and forward, soft knees and relaxed upper body.

this is opposite. Her front foot is at 3 o'clock so crossing over with the back foot will twist up the body the wrong way. Unlike the proper cross, her shin can not rest on her back calf. She can not control front/back - side to side movement at this moment. Knees are banging together

when crossed, your feet should make a " T ". During your regular stance your feet should creat a " L " . Hard to tell, but I am actually in a "pause". Even though my feet are crossed, I can still control pressure front, back, side to side.

oh yeah, for style sake, you are not allowed to raise your hands like this unless you got toes on the nose. He has 1 meter more to go to get to the nose.

this is on my 6'4" NSP Fish. Only needed to cross step one time !
